Haiti: UN Sounds Alarm as Violence grows in Cholera Response

cholera-epidemic-haitiAccording to the recent report released every second there are lives are being at risk as claimed by Mr. Edmond Mulet, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Haiti, in a statement released the previous day.

The doers of these "criminals and irresponsible" acts claimed Mr. Mulet "prevent the delivery of medical and sanitary assistance to the, thousands of patients recently hit by the cholera epidemic, thus condemning to an unquestionable death."

Mr. Mulet claimed that this situation persists, more and more frantic patients who wait for the intensive care, as many die and more and more worried Haitians waiting for the permit to preventive care which may sound as the epidemic.

Meanwhile urgent requirements of the humanitarian community, roads, airports and bridges are still obstructed, which erected barricades are present in the region of Cap-Haitien, one of the areas spread of cholera.

Mr. Mulet, further claimed that the sense of right and wrong of the ones who commit these acts and at the same time asking them to be kind toward those of their fellow whose life are at risk.
