Gone are the days when MNCs establishing their businesses used to be a big news. Today, the time is when the Indian companies are going abroad and are making their mark in the global business market.
The latest name to enter this list is Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC). The company announced on Friday that it is planning to launch its Dubai operations in the next three months and was looking at opening another four branches in other countries.
It is to be mentioned here that the bank Chairman and Managing Director T. Y. Prabhu said that it is expecting to get RBI's nod on expanding its business to Dubai in the next three months.
For the record, the CMD was talking on the topic of launch the process of enrollment for the Unique Identification Authority of India's (UIDAI) ‘Aadhar' project. The bank is moving on a plan of opening three to four branches in the coming times and the plan is to meet the funding requirement of Indian companies working in foreign markets.
The CMD also said that the establishment from the 3-4 branches is for the medium term objective of the bank.
