While many strange partners have been seen in the grand ballroom of Fifa's year-long World Cup bidding party, but the fact that the crown has fallen in the arms of Qatar for the year 2022 has raised many eyebrows.
The concerns brewed up from the fact that the Barcelona coach enjoyed his two years playing for Al Ahli.
However, he said that he frankly believes that the emirate can host a spectacular, passionate and unforgettable World Cup that embraces all the Fifa ideals. Hence, one shouldn't be so surprised that the suspicion of a union between Spain and Qatar remains unavoidable. It is to be mentioned here that FIFA authorities answered all the queries on the issue of corruption in the World Cup bidding process but not the hint of collusion.
Moreover, the authorities even did move to deny any suggestion of an understanding between Spain 2018 and Qatar 2022.
However, if the sources are to be believed than the possibility remains a significant threat to England's 2018 ambitions. It is believed that FIFA should act and start the bidding process for two tournaments at once as it will be able to attract better deals.
