Efforts from UAE's end bagged recognition from UNESCO

Efforts from UAE's end bagged recognition from UNESCOAs intensive efforts have been made by 11 countries led by the UAE for the past many months now, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has recently registered falconry as a live human heritage in the representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (ICHH).

It is to be mentioned here that the same was officially announced on Tuesday. Going by the words of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), the announcement came amidst the during the meetings of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO which were taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

It may be noted here that the experts on the committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage approved the registration of falconry as a live human heritage.

Moreover, the committee also described the international dossier submitted by the UAE which was done in coordination and cooperation with 11 Arab and foreign countries as one of the best international file submitted till date.

For the record, the file is shared by 11 countries namely, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Mongolia, Morocco, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Syria, in addition to the UAE.
