Now, those having handsets equipped with Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 operating system will have a new application in their store called SlingPlayer Mobile, whose availability was announced recently by Sling Media Inc.
The time, the first Windows Phone 7 handsets marked its presence in the US and Canada, the new application was available on the Windows Phone Marketplace then only for purchasing and downloading.
John M. Paul, Executive Vice President of Products at Sling Media said, "The big story about SlingPlayer Mobile on Windows Phone 7 is the quality of the user experience".
He added that the application would offer clear and sharp video images. Also, the users would be able to watch TV on their Windows Phone 7 handsets. It is not difficult to run application on the handsets embedded with Windows Phone 7 operating system. It would first launch in English language only, but would be available in other languages also gradually.
The facility of watching television by taking help of the SlingPlayer Mobile software is possible only when the handsets are connected to a Slingbox SOLO or Slingbox PRO-HD through the internet.
In US, the price of the software was $29.99, while in UK, it was £22.99. In Europe it was sold for _21.10 plus local VAT and for CN$31.99 in Canada.
