Vodafone Acknowledges 3G Network Glitches

VodafoneMillion of iPhones and other internet-enabled smartphones using Vodafone's network have been severely troubled from the past few weeks. The glitch in the connection is causing customers to miss calls largely delayed text messages and problems using 3G data.

Midst of soaring complaints, the telecom giant has finally acknowledged the issue. It is claimed that many of whom did not discerned a connection flaw, rather blamed it on their phone.

However, it has reported that engineers have recognized the root of the problems - and will soon come up with a fix for the connection glitch, spokesman Matt East posted in a statement.

Vodafone customers using devices like Apple's iPhone have been stuck with problems including missed calls, hugely delayed text messages and problems using 3G data.

Vodafone has advised that the users facing similar issues should turn their phones off and back on. If issues persist, the company calls users contact customer tech support.

Vodafone would do away with two stages of network upgrades and would initiate extend 28.8Mb/s data capabilities, recently-appointed general manger of networks, Tony Baird.

"Having trialled 21Mb/s service in central Auckland earlier this year, we've made the decision to move straight to the faster 28.8Mb/s service", he added.
