Airbus Military A400M goes for paratroopers drill

Airbus Military A400M goes for paratroopers drillFor the first time the Airbus Military A400M has been involved in dropping of paratroopers and was able to do in form of successful demonstration. This is important since the aircraft is going to have these kinds of droppings as their key role.

As many as six paratroopers jumped from Grizzly Three from a height of 6,000ft at the Fonsorbes drop zone near Toulouse. Out of these two were from UK's armed forces, Franch armed forces and French Centre d'Essais en Vol.

In the report it was mentioned that it was easier to jump from the aircraft than it would be from any other vehicle. While four of the troopers jumped from the left hand side door the other two jumped from the ramp.

As per the report that was submitted that there were water-filled balloons.

These were first dropped from the aircraft and then following them the paratroopers also jumped. For the testing, specially instrumented mannequins were first thrown.

The reports have said that the next trial will take place in 2011. And people and media will be eagerly waiting for that to happen.
