Sino-French relations may see turnaround

Nicolas-Sarkozy-Hu-JintaoWhile French President Nicolas Sarkozy gets ready to welcome home his counterpart, Chinese President Hu Jintao, there is hope that the sour relations between the two G-20 nations will get better.

And the reason for this red carpet welcome is economy for France for Chinese leader who would be coming on the weekend. This time the tone is said to be going to be dramatically different from what it was last year when the Sino-French relations were touching their trough.

The whole trouble had begun when two years ago the French President had threatened to boycott the Chinese Olympics games because of the issue of Tibet. As a result millions of Chinese boycotted French products seriously affecting the economy.

This time around there is going to be no talks about the Tibet and Hu will be treated no less than a royalty.

As per the schedule, Sarkozy along with French First lady Carla Bruni are going to welcome the Chinese at the Orly Airport. Their ride will be escorted down the Champs Elysees by France's elite Republican guard on horseback.
