According to a warning in a report the lives of patients is being compromised by leaving them in the hands of junior doctors without any supervisor and experience.

Trainee doctors are not accompanied by any supervisors and are left alone to handle complicated cases which sometimes lead in them missing out on potential fatal conditions.

The doctors’ training was analyzed and a report was made which issues a warning that the whole concept of training junior doctors has been compromised with the coming in of the European rules under which the junior doctors can work up to a maximum of 48 hours only.

After the European Working Time Directive was introduced last year the trainee doctors have been forced into working in long shifts including night shifts which shows that they have very little personal time with the patients.

On the other hand hardly any senior doctors work during the night shifts making the emergency cases left to the inexperienced junior doctors in the middle of the night who have little experience to handle those cases.
