Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has announced enhancement plans for its two on-site multi-story car parks. It will add new installation including park system, a new management contract and a new digital vehicle management system (VMS), besides making the car park for fully suitable for events.    

The enhancement work has been allotted to Europe's largest car park operator, APCOA Parking Limited, managing 1.4 million parking spaces at 4,800 sites in 17 countries. It will be responsible for managing car parks, valets and traffic management activities from September 30th 2009 onwards.

Simon Horgan, ADNEC Group CEO said: "ADNEC welcomes around 1.8 million visitors every year and for a very large proportion of these visitors, our car parks are their first experience of the venue.  We are investing heavily into all aspects of our car parking facilities to significantly enhance the visitor experience and to reinforce ADNEC's position as the leading events venue in the Middle East."

ADNEC will improve the aesthetic look of car parking using a specific theme such as Desert Sun, Skyline, Arabian Gulf, Sunrise, Oasis and other concepts, to represent the rich heritage of the Emirate.
