It is not considered to have a fracture from just an ordinary fall because when you fall as a child you only suffer from some cuts and bruises but older people could land up with a broken bone due to a fall.

Lack of diagnosis and preventive treatment of older people suffering from fractures have a higher risk of hip fractures. Almost 20 percent cases of hip fractures die due to complications and the rest who survive suffer disabilities.
Out of the several reasons for older people to keep themselves physically active few are to reduce the chances of falling, improving postures, improving flexibility, improving muscular strength and increasing stamina and endurance and even for the complete health.
