Dr Reddy’s net profit up by 32%Leading Pharmaceutical firm of the country Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has announced its second quarter financial results. The company has informed that the net profit of the company has gone up by 32% in the quarter under review.

The net profit of the pharma major is found out to be Rs 286.7 crore in the Q2 results. The company has registered a net profit of Rs 217.3 crore in the similar quarter in the previous year.

However the revenue of the firm has not enhanced accordingly. It was just 2% up to touch Rs 1,870 crore in the quarter that ended on 30thSeptember against Rs 1,839 crore for its corresponding quarter in the previous year. The main reason of this decline in revenue is the fall in its revenue from countries like Germany.

Chief Executive Officer of Dr Reddy, Mr. G. V. Prasad has informed that the company has been able to provide some favorable product mix as a result of which the net profit has gone up in spite of the moderate growth in the revenue figure.
