Apple has confirmed about not supplying Adobe's Flash with Mac OS X, in addition to the fact that the new MacBook Air is up for sale and is selling like hot cakes.
It was further added that Flash-less system which has been supplied from Apple. Mac users will be able to install Flash themselves, as Apple has not prohibited to install the software.
Apple spokesman Bill Evans explained: "We're happy to continue to support Flash on the Mac, and the best way for users to always have the most up to date and secure version is to download it directly from Adobe."
This step has been made in effort to supply Flash security updates to Mac OS X users as part of the operating system's patch process. Instead, users need to look out for details for location, download and install those fixes themselves.
Andrew Storms, director of security operations at nCircle Security adds: "What Apple is doing is separating themselves from the security community."
Consumers have been running an outdated version, and do not know when the Adobe issues patches.
A spokesperson at the Apple said, "Adobe recommends that users download the most up to date version of Adobe Flash Player from Adobe. com."
She asked Mac users to keep a tab on Adobe's security blog, which updates for the Flash updates.
