Last Saturday a 28-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a doctor inside a private hospital room.

A doctor of Aakash hospital located at Malviya Nagar in Delhi was accused of sexually harassing a woman who was at the hospital due to suffering from brain tumour.

The victim said that she was molested thrice on Saturday by the accused in absence of a nurse and any other hospital staff. After complaining of high fever, the woman was brought to the hospital and was admitted seeing her condition at the emergency ward.

The accused had come to conduct a medical check-up at 11 in the night. The FIR states that, "The 26-year-old accused molested me first in the presence of my husband. We ignored it thinking his actions were not deliberate. After my husband left, the doctor came back and sexually harassed me. On Sunday morning, he repeated the same. No nurse or fellow doctor was accompanying him during these check-ups."

According to medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Dharmendra, the accused was a resident doctor and he has been terminated.

The police has arrested the accused and investigating the matter.
