Rare nerve disease linked to swine flu vaccine

Rare nerve disease linked to swine flu vaccineA possible association between the vaccine and Guillain-Barre Syndrome is what the experts are trying to examine. In this condition, paralysis and even death can happen as the nervous system is attacked.

In 1970s according to reports there have been cases of the disease in America though it has been denied by the authorities.

But seeing the earlier reports, further tests have been suggested by the Medicines and Health care products Regulatory Agency, MHRA.

MHRA's report states, "Given the uncer-tainties in the available information and as with seasonal flu vaccines, a slightly elevated risk of GBS following H1N1 vaccines cannot be ruled out. Epidemiological studies are ongoing to further assess this possible association."

Though the reason for the condition remains unknown but hands and feet can get paralyzed and can prove fatal too.

In 1976 there were 25 deaths that had taken place due to this condition from the vaccine that was given to keep swine flu away and only one death was caused by the flu itself.

Experts state that this year there will be millions who will be exposed to swine flu vaccine as it is a part of the seasonal flu jab.
