Raven Software Hit by Multiple Layoffs

Raven SoftwareKarl has reported that Raven Software had been engulfed by multiple layoffs, reducing their staff by over forty people. In addition, it triggered the company to produce DLC.

The layoffs are claimed to be as a result of the news that Robomodo will be taken off the Tony Hawk franchise after the release of Shred.

“It is always difficult to let hard-working and valued employees go. Robomodo has retained all of the company’s directors and leads, along with other staff members. All are busy working on future projects and ideas, which will become the innovative games of tomorrow”, Robomodo’s president, Josh Tsui, was quoted as saying.

In addition, he posited that the company hopes to bring back some of our team as it pushes itself for next projects.

It is cited that Activision’s march of doom is on the track to continue as the layoffs have hit Robomodo. Robomodo hail to be the designers of the current peripheral-based Tony Hawk franchise.

Ride is deemed to be the first game in the franchise that extended the concept of plastic skateboard controller. However, it did not fetch a great hype, but Activision remained optimistic and went for another attempt in the form of Tony Hawk: Shred.
