Info2cell. com, the leading mobile service application provider in the Middle East, has announced that it has inked an alliance pact with NetQin, one of the world's leading providers of mobile security services. The company has entered into the partnership with the aim to deliver advanced mobile security solutions to Info2cell. com subscribers in Saudi Arabia.
The sources said that the alliance has delivered positive results after NetQin servers recently detected a new threat in Saudi called Transmitter C, a malware that can randomly send SMS messages to around 500 mobile phone numbers on the phone's contact list, while redirecting the infected devices to an unsecured web portal.
The two firms have also decided to collaborate in delivering solutions such an Arabic version of NetQin's Mobile Antivirus and Mobile Communication Master.
While commenting on the occasion, Bashar Al Dahabra, Founder and Chief Executive at Info2cell. com, stated, "As soon as the virus was detected, NetQin executed a two-step process that involved informing our subscribers of the danger of this virus and explaining to them the process of deleting the malicious program."
