Campbell River is all set to welcome the 2010 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock cyclists. By Thursday, the team members will be arriving in Campbell River. The public has also been invited to take part in this grant event.
They will meet the police officers who will be participating in this Tour de Rock. Now the Campbell River Common has become a desired destination for them.
The Tour de Rock is being considered as a grueling cycle tour. It will be organized from one tip of Vancouver Island. The other reason is to raise funds for the research of pediatric cancer as well. It will also help the Camp Goodtimes which is a fun getaway for kids.
These kids had bravely fought against cancer. From all over the Island, police officers are going to participate.
The Cops for Cancer team contains officers from all across the country. Campbell River's Cst. Jonathan Fischer is going to take part in this program. Tom Hergt who is in the Cancer committee chair has said that Tuesday is going to be a great day.
