Mr. Anand Sharma, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, has said that the recent rise in visa fees for US on the Indian IT professionals is completely “regressive”.

He has said that such issue has been raised due to the Emergency Border Security Supplemental Appropriations Act and for this act the IT professionals from India has to pay more for the visa for US. Mr. Sharma has commented that US is considered to be the top destination for the employees all across the globe.

The country is one of the leading economies of the world. So it should be more confident while engaging professional from outside US. Mr. Sharma has said this while he was in his day visit to the Infosys campus in Bangalore today.

He has revealed that he is quite attentive to the issues related to the Indian IT industry particularly the current time of recovery in the market. The Minister has said that, the industry of India has created more than 250,000 jobs in United States in the past three years. So US should also be careful of the issues related to the industry.
