Mahindra Satyam, the sister concern of Tech Mahindra, which is the IT arm of the conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra Group has recently said that it has appointed Kunihinko Higashi as the Country Manager in Japan. It is to be mentioned here that the company said in its filing to the BSE that the new country manager will be responsible for the overall operations for the Mahindra Satyam in the Japanese market.

It may be noted here that the job functions of Higashi includes sales & marketing apart from the services and support initiatives.

While the veteran will be looking at building the channel program of the company in the Japanese market, he will also be looking at the aggressive sales and marketing strategies to garner additional market share for the IT major from the Japanese market.

For the uninitiated, his primary role will be to drive the company's revenue and market share growth. Mahindra Satyam was renamed after Tech Mahindra announced the acquisition of the troubled Satyam Computers Services in
2008. In fact, the company has played a major role in stabilising its operations in the Indian market.
