Microsoft set to introduce Internet Explorer 9 Beta on September 15 Microsoft is set to launch its new Internet Explorer 9 Beta version on September after it offered Platform Preview allowing few download to the browser without user interface.

Experts will close watch how many IE 6, 7 and 8 users will upgrade to the new version as rivals like Firefox and Chrome increase the competition. Microsoft is trying to win back customers from rivals with the new version.

The IE9 is expected to have a facelift to the interface as other Microsoft has been consistent in its design while other have compacted their upper space to give more viewable areas on the browser. The browser is also expected to be much faster with its reworked Javascript engine.

The browser will also make use of the graphics capabilities of the computer with DirectX APIs built into Windows. The new browser will also be compatible with HTML5 and CSS3.

Meanwhile, a video has appeared on the internet about the upcoming Internet Explorer 9 showing leaked screenshots of the interface. The video shows a video which is very different to the earlier version having just one toolbar, with an address-bar, browser tabs and 3 buttons. Other than the 3 buttons (home/favorites/settings), the navigation buttons (forward/back/reload/stop) are the only other elements present, with no hint of a search bar.

The video also shows the browser through the Acid3 test and scoring 95 out of 100 to show standard support. It shows that IE9 is much faster with its GPU acceleration and support for HTML5. The browser will support Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but not Windows XP.

IE has been loosing market share since years to other browsers however with the latest version, Microsoft aims to bring IE to the main browser war.
