High heels will be ditched by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh as a night will be spent by her working as an orderly in a Brisbane hospital.
Bligh said this while stating that this attempt of hers will be a part of the State Government's Walk A Day In My Shoes campaign. Her aim is to get MPs have a feeling of the general community.
Bligh expressed keenness to help out in the hospital wards.
She said, "Working in the PA (Princess Alexandra) hospital on a night shift will give me an opportunity to talk to other night shift workers as well as get down and get my hands dirty doing the sort of jobs that wardspeople do keeping our hospitals running right across Queensland."
On the other hand, Health Minister Paul Lucas also will be working in a hospital but not in the wards but in the kitchen.
He said, "The great unsung heroes in our hospitals are the men and women who do the food service.”
Apart from this he will also work at a local club in food service.
