Vivendi has raised its annual outlookThe media giant of France, Vivendi has increased its full year outlook for the year 2010 after seeing a rise of 4% in its profits in the first six months of this year.

The media firm has reported a net profit of 1.53 billion euros in the first half of this current year compared to the profit of 1.47 billion euros in the same time period of last year.

Meanwhile the revenues of Vivendi fell down by 5.4% because of reduced demand and fewer international and local releases.

The company is now expecting profit of more than 2.59 billion euros in this year which it made in last year.

The company Vivendi also owns 56% stake of the French telecom operator SFR where the revenues grew up by 1.8% in the first half of this year.

The fixed line telecom operator GVT of Brazil is the latest acquisition of Vivendi and it has also posted a strong growth the same period of time.

Despite of the growth the company reported a fall in profits in the second quarter of this year of 3.4% to 790 million euros.
