A news of rejoice for the users of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 comes in the form of an update Android 2.1 which soon be released for the smartphone.

Sony Ericsson through a blog posted by Twitter stated that the 2.1 update will be released by the company in near September which proves to be news of delight as in the light of release of fourth quarter when the actual date was scheduled.

The experts believed that the Q4 was supposedly the actual date of release for the update.

However the date of release comes at a time when the HTC Desire would soon be upgrading their handsets to 2.2 or probably would have already acquired the same on their 2.2 handset.

A user of Xperia X10 user tweeted: “And what about Android 2.2?” To which Sony Ericsson replied: “We can currently only confirm the details regarding the upcoming Android 2.1 upgrade.”
