The Ryanair airline has announced that it is going to stop its services at the Belfast City Airport from the 31st of October. The airline has advised its customers to contact with Ryanair who have made booking after the closing date of 31st October.
According to the airline, the decision to stop the services was taken because of the delay of the public inquiry in to the pre-planned runway extension.
The airline Ryanair has started that its operations from George Best Belfast City Airport from the year 2007 and is continuing till now. The airline is currently operational from the Belfast City Airport to five different locations of the country such as London, Prestwick, Bristol, Liverpool and East Midlands.
The airline carries around 80,000 passengers per year from the airport. The chief executive officer of Ryanair airline Michael O’Leary has expressed his anger and unhappiness for the airport as it failed to keep its promise of making the runway extension in time.
He has also said the airline have many other airports in the UK and Europe in its hand to operate from there.
