According to the report of the energy regulator Ofgem of UK, the use of solar panels by the house owners in the UK has increased to a record number in this month.
The solar panels were fitted on 2257 houses in the month of August which was well above the figures of 1700 in July and 1400 in the month of June. The solar panels had been fitted to more than 6688 houses since the month of April of this year.
This figure suggests that the people of UK are cautious about the use of energy and trying to generate their own energy for their own use as the solar panels are generating both the money and electricity for the home owners.
Under the government’s scheme to reward those people who generate their own energy, the home owners are getting paid 41.3 pence for their each unit energy production. Home owners can use the energy or sell it back to the National Grid.
As per the Energy Saving Trust, the solar panels generally cost in between 6000 pounds to 12000 pounds to buy and install depending up on their size.
