Cisco has proclaimed its plans to create its own offering of 3D video products.
According to the news report of Seer Press, Cisco CEO John Chambers stated that the firm will be looking to extend its IP video offerings.
The voiced out opinion at a visit in the Meadowland Stadium, Chambers stated that the latest offering of voice-on Internet Protocol technology offers more interactive and media rich content video.
Cisco is aiming to encroach upon the increasing popularity of video on the Web. The software enterprise maker, almost 90 percent of all communications coming on net by 2014 will be based on the form of video.
Chambers stated: "3D will make things more lifelike. But I think in 10 years we'll be seeing holograms used. Not only can this be used to enhance business communications, but imagine the implications for certain vertical businesses like medicine."
Verizon Communications is also working hand in hand with researchers to build 3D holographic video communication system for mini scale entities, the medical industry and households.
