Google has officially proclaimed the purchase of visual search and online shopping platform Like. com.
The aim to extend the product search traits has led Google purchase Like for approximately $100 million, Tech Crunch sources reports.
The sources as posted on the home page claims that Like has been taken over the search giant which brings a delight for the investors who apparently are excited about the deal.
CEO and co-founder of Like. com, Munjal Shah, posted: "We were the first to bring visual search to shopping, the first to build an automated cross-matching system for clothing, and more. We didn't stop there, and we don't have plans to stop now. We see joining Google as a way to supercharge our vision and supercharge our passion."
Like's visual search technology will aid Google improvise its product search to pump the online shopping via its platform.
Experts claim that the company might employ Like's unique visual search technology to extend on its Image search function.
