Bengaluru Space Expo 2010 to begin on Wednesday

Bengaluru Space Expo 2010 to begin on WednesdayThe country’s international space exhibition ‘Bengaluru Space Expo-2010’ with a focus on space technologies, equipment and products will begin on Wednesday in the software city in southern India.

The four-day event to be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre is being organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry along with Indian Space Research Organisation and Antirx Corporation.

The firms at the exhibition will showcase latest technological advances, equipments, software solutions, related products and technical services in the space and other sectors. An International Conference titled World SpaceBiz will go on for three days and will focus on discussions on topics such as commercialisation of space, remote sensing, and navigation.

The conference will have speakers from various space agencies and industry who will discuss the developments in the field and talk about the solutions. Delegations from Kazakhstan, France, Thailand, Denmark, Nigeria, Israel, Japan, Korea, UK, USA, Indonesia and Nepal and senior minister from Nigeria will participate in the event.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Larsen & Toubro, EADS Astrium, Glonass-Russia, Dish TV, Godrej & Boyce, BrahMos, MEASAT, SES World Skies, Asia Broadcast Satellite and Devas Media will be among the major participants in the exhibition. The event is claimed be the first in Asia to focus on exhibition on space, satellites and related technologies.

It will provide a platform for space agencies, specialists, entrepreneurs and space industry heavyweights to display their visions to the decision makers."
