Recently canon has revealed its powershot line of 3 Elph model cameras with lightweight and 10X optical zoom into a slim package as important characteristics.
The 3 models are the PowerShot SD4500 IS, the PowerShot S95 and PowerShot SX130 IS. Among these 3 models, the PowerShot SD4500 IS and the PowerShot S95 are capable of better low light photography and also reduces the noises that sneak into images at high ISO settings. Whereas the PowerShot SX130 IS is a bulkier model with 12 X optical zoom.
Common feature among all the 3 cameras is facility to capture high-definition video with stereo sound. These cameras also have a new miniature mode for video.
Elph SD4500 IS will be launched in September at a cost of $ 350. Canon has managed to keep its thickness at 0.9 inches with 10X zoom. The lens ranges from 36mm to 360mm and able to capture far off shots.
In addition to the above features, it can also shoot 1080p high-definition video; it is fast in capturing still photos with a burst rate of 8.4 frames per second. The device is equipped with CMOS censor which enables it to shoot slow-motion video at 240 frames per second. It also has a new hand-held night scene and a best image selection option which enables to shoot five sequential shots in one go and save the best shot of the person based on his movement and facial expressions.
Talking about S95 which will be launched in late August, it has a bright f/2.0 lens which makes it popular among snap shooters. It is available at $ 400. The gadget is loaded with 720p high-definition video capability with stereo audio recording and in-camera HDR scene mode.
The lens is 3.8X Optical zoom with a range of 28mm to 105mm. Front of the camera is decorated with a new manual control ring that enables users to access settings without going into the menu option and search for the particular activity.
Considering the third powershot, SX130, which is the bulkiest camera with a 12 X optical zoom and it, uses AA batteries. It is capable of shooting distant photos. It is available at $250. The device can capture 720p high-def video with stereo sound.
The camera includes miniature, fisheye, poster and super vivid modes which help it to take still photos. The camera will be launched in late August.
