Ore. dairy announces that its products are safeIt has been announced by officials with Umpqua Dairy Products Co. that fluid milk products of the company are back and anyone can consume them as they were safe.

Certain milk and drink products that were sold in southwest Washington, northern California and Oregon on August 18 were recalled by the company. The recall was announced following a strain of salmonella bacteria that had sickened 23 people and its milk plant was linked to it.

According to the company, different milk processing facilities were used for making fluid milk products like buttermilk, milk and cream. All the products were not processed at Roseburg, Ore. plant that was the focus of the recall.

The company officials stated that, “With the help of our friends in the dairy industry, all fluid milk products in stores have been manufactured in a different milk processing facility than the Roseburg facility that was the focus of the recall.”

It was added that the equipment in question had not come in contact with the products that are currently on the shelves.

It was hence announced that the products were safe.
