People Group’s Mobile Value Added Service company, Mauj Mobile ha said that it has acquired UK based Mobango which the largest independent mobile application and User Generated content store in the world.

Mauj expects to benefit from the acquisition as the consumption of data-based services in India and abroad is to increase significantly due to rising number of smartphones. Mauj will now be able to offer a wider range of applications and content to its partners for their subscribers.

Anupam Mittal, Founder and CEO, People Group expressed that Mauj was established to offer content and applications over the mobile internet and with the acquisition it will be extend its Applications, Content & Communities offering.

Mauj will gain direct aces to the global mobile app marketplace at an almost leading position, Mobango’s global partners, and access to Mobango’s application developer community along with positive cash flow from the acquisition.
