TalkTalk increases line rental chargesTalkTalk has been in news since the hike of 55 pence for its monthly fixed line rental charges.

The service provider is drawing attention from experts and customers since the release of the latest monthly rental plans by raining the fee from £11.49 to £12.04 per month, the Guardian reports.

TalkTalk has come up with the latest monthly tariffs where the landline rates for the phones have been increased by 5 per cent, up from £11.49 to £12.04 per month. Day time calling has risen from 5.8p to 6.4p per minute this includes a switching service charges, up from £29.99 to £49.99. In a further report it was stated that the charges will be effective from 1 October. TalkTalk is considered to be the penultimate major telecom provider in UK, soon after it followed BT in league of increasing the charges in previous two months.

A company official stated: "Our standard international rates will be increasing - you can view the new rates here (PDF). Please note that if you have calls to selected international countries included in your package, they will not be affected."
