Amazon to trade Novell SUSE Linux on EC2Novell has proclaimed the offering of its SUSE Linux Enterprise Server on Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) cloud-based hosting service. The Enterprise software vendor stated to release Amazon Web Service who will penalize users based on hourly basis and will also offer support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server customers.

The service has been made available for unique size based offerings and will be offering support to Amazon Web Services all over the world. The director of Business Development, Amazon Web Services, Terry Wise stated: “We are pleased to see Novell providing an easy way for customers to leverage the enterprise class SUSE Linux distribution on the Amazon EC2 platform.”

The firm added that Amazon EC2 users will be able to buy additional maintenance licenses for Linux straight from Amazon acquiring a different license agreement altogether.

The SUSE based Linux Enterprise Server on Amazon Web Services is considered to be a part of Novell's SuSE Cloud Programme, especially crafted for enterprise Linux users in order to run a common base of physical and virtual machines protected by their firewalls.
