TVS launches ‘Gold Bharat keyboard’ with new Rupee symbol

TVSTVS has announced the launch of its new ‘Gold Bharat keyword’ featuring the newly released rupee symbol for Indian currency.

TVS claims that it has become the first manufacturer to produce the keyboard that incorporates a key for the new Rupee symbol. The new symbol resembles Devanagri ‘Ra’ and Roman ‘R’ and was announced as the symbol for the currency by the government last month.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni, the symbol will be adopted in 6 months in the country and will take about 18 months to 2 years to be adopted globally.  

The Gold Bharat keyboard has the dimensions of 490mm x 180mm x 20mm and an operating voltage of about 5V. IT is designed to suit the Indian climate conditions and features click tactile switch along with USB and PS2 interface.

The keyboard is already on its way to the market and gives the company lead over other manufacturers. The TVS Gold Bharat keyboard will be sold across the country through authorized TVS dealers and through some online portals and will be priced at Rs. 1,495.
