Jobs revisions show moderating growth in Australia

Australian-Bureau-of-StatisticsAccording to the recent figures, the labour market is not that strong in the country. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has produced a report regarding the labour market of Australia.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) had earlier estimated on the employment rate of the country but as per recent records, there has been a slight difference in the estimated figure and the latest recorded data.

As per the latest report, the unemployment rate rose to 5.3% in the month of June in this year.

In the Month of June it was 5.1%. This has been informed by ABS in a statement. It has informed that, this result was affected by the rise in labour force participation rate. The rise in labour force participation rate is found out to be 65.45%. It has risen from its earlier point of 65.3%.

The unemployment data would be unchanged if the participation rate had remained steady. However, in the month of July there have been 23,500 more employments.  

The increase in the employment is estimated to be 156,200 for the first six months of the current fiscal year.
