America’s first test tube baby now has a baby of her own.
In 1981, Elizabeth Jordan Carr was born through in vitro fertilization. Her mother was told by a doctor that she could never have a baby the natural way after she had three ectopic pregnancies.
Elizabeth is 28 has had a baby boy recently. She states that she wants that her baby leads a normal life and not followed by cameras as she was followed during her life until now.
She stated that media attention was something she always got whether she liked it or not but she still got it.
After having a normal pregnancy and a normal healthy baby, Elizabeth states that she hopes it would prove to the world that she was like them.
She stated, “I had a normal conception and pregnancy despite my abnormal childhood. And early yesterday, my husband and I had a baby boy ‘the normal way,’ proving that I’m just like everyone else.”
She said that her baby’s face appeared on a magazine’s cover and she does not want that he too goes through what she has been through.
