Exclusive, RIM Blackberry Torch: Hardware touch upResearch in Motion has proclaimed the Blackberry Torch, or otherwise known as 9800 at a recent press event.

Experts have listed out the specs have for the same and claim that the old Storm comes with a sliding keyboard and comes with a capacitive touchscreen which gains a strong resemblances with Palm Pre.

RIM's new launch comes with latest Blackberry OS 6.0 and is powered by an ARM-based processor (supposedly an older Qualcomm MSM model) that comes with the 2008 Blackberry 9000 Series, with a weak 624MHz. This when compared to the recent Android offerings has more powerful Cortex A8 CPU clocked at 1GHz.

Also, the screen size is 3.2-inch HVGA+ display that adapts well with camera resolution, standby and talk time, onboard memory and has a Flash memory that has been upped to significant amount.

A few of the other specs include Flac and Ogg Vorbis, at the same time offers support with 802.11n Wi-Fi and has a 4GB memory card.

Experts claim that this device is one of the heaviest model; RIM has produced till date.
