Vonage app developer has pronounced the release of the latest Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) application for iPhone and Android-based devices, the Guardian has stated.
The app aids in making VOIP calls to all Facebook mates who have installed the app on their smartphones and also for the ones who have not installed the app, can also make calls to their friends.
The Vonage application comes as a free to download app and is accessible for both 3G and Wi-Fi networks. The application can be availed from Vonage's Facebook Fan page in Apple's app storewide, i. e. Android Market or vonage. com/talkfree.
The app has been launched in 48 countries via the Android Market and 87 countries via the iTunes app store.
Marc Lafer, CEO of Vonage stated: "Essentially, we've given Facebook a voice. In the future we will expand on this service to include a wide range of integrated voice and messaging services that change the way people communicate."
The application is aimed to be released in all iTunes App stores for the iPads.
