UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Bulgaria have signed an Air Services Agreement (ASA) and a Memorandum of Understanding.
Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA, signed the agreement.
The agreement permits the designated airlines of these countries to operate all types of aircrafts without any restrictions of the capacity, owned or leased, in the passenger service or in the cargo services, between Bulgaria and the UAE.
In addition to the third and fourth freedoms, the agreement authorizes the full fifth freedom traffic rights on all points of their choice in the operation of cargo services.
The Emirates airline and Etihad Airways, RAK Airways, Air Arabia and FlyDubai were designated as the UAE national airlines, while the Bulgaria Air was designated airline of Bulgaria by the respective delegations.
