Motorola extends lineup with two new android smartphonesHandset maker, Motorola has expanded its line up significantly in the Indian market first with Rambler, Bali handsets along with an eco friendly phone called Motorola Grasp and now with two new Android based smartphones called the Milestone XT720 and Backflip.

The Milestone XT720 features a large 3.7-inch WVGA screen and is powered by 550MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. It also has a powerful 8MP camera with advanced features like xenon flash, 720p/24fps video, video recording, playback, wi-fi, and HDMI.

The battery of the phone offers a talk time of up to 9 hours and standby time of up to 320 hours. The phone has a sleek design and will appeal to the tech enthusiasts in the country.

On the other hand, Backflip has a 3.1-inch touchscreen display and 5MP camera with Autofocus and LED flash. It has inbuilt support for GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth Geotagging and Java. The phone has an internal memory of 2GB memory which can be expanded upto 32GB through a microSD card. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack for audio output and the battery of the phone offers talktime up to 6 hours and standby time up to 315 hours. The phone has an appealing reverse-flip design.

Motorola vice president, Andrew Morley stated “We are taking the Android experience to a whole new level in India with the launch of our two smartphones Milestone XT720 and Backflip.”

The Milestone XT720 will be priced at Rs. 34,990 while Backflip will be priced at Rs. 22,990.
