Motorola is set to launch an eco-friendly mobile handset called ‘Grasp’ that will enable users to stay connected to their friends.
The announcement comes after the company recently announced the launch of its Rambler and Bali handsets. Motorola Grasp uses an eco-friendly cover which can be recycled later and is BFR and PCV free, a feature expected to attract more people concerned about the environment to the device.
Motorola Grasp has a 2.2-inch, 220 X 176 QCIF+ 65K TFT display and has a fell QWERTY keypad. The device supports CDMA 800/1900, AWS 1700/2100, CDMA 1x, EVDO networks. The phone measures 2.4 inches x 3.7 inches by 0.51 inches and weighs only 3.7 ounces.
It also has a 1.3MP camera with fixed focus and digital zoom which can captures and playbacks images along with videos. The phone offers easy messaging with threaded messaging option which allows users to track previous messages like instant messages. The contacts and messages can are easily assessable on the home screen.
The advanced contact search feature on the phone allows users to easily find frequently used phone numbers and email addresses. Among other multimedia features it offers music player and a 3.5mm headset jac. The phone has an expandable memory of upto 8GB.
The 950 mAH Li-Ion battery of the phone offers a talktime up to 5.3 hours and a standby time of up to 17.9 days. The Motorola Grasp is expected to be available in the third quarter of this year and the company has not announced the pricing details.
