Olive Telecom has announced the launch of OlivePad VT100, claimed to be India’s first 3.5G network supporting tablet.
OlivePad based on Google Android OS has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen. The tablet has all the features usually offered in a full feature tablet.
The tablet is powered by 600MHz Qualcomm M7227 chipset and supports High Speed Uplink Packet Access support. The tablet has 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM that can be extended to 32GB with a memory card.
The tablet will offer Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with quad-band GSM and tri-band WCDMA support. The tablet also features a 3 mega pixel with auto focus and 4x zoom.
Olive offers inbuilt compass, G-sensor, ambient light sensor and dual speakers with the phone. The users will also be able to access E-books and also access the internet through web kit browser with Flash support.

The tablet combines the features of a Smartphone and a tablet in a single pack. The OlivePad VT100 will be available in Croma retail stores in August and will be priced at about Rs. 25,000.
