Acer in the press conference in Mumbai has launched three Timeline X laptops models. Two of these laptops have 14 inch screen and other unique features. One of the laptop is loaded with Core i3 processor and Intel HD graphics.
Acer's 4820TG is unveiled in two variants, first one carries the same specifications as the base model like Core i3 330M processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB Hard drive but instead of the on-board Intel GMA, it is loaded with an ATI Radeon HD 5470 graphics. The Radeon 5470 graphics enable the user to play games in a more toned manner. It has 512 MB chip which is a lower-mid range GPU. This laptop will be available at a price of Rs 42,700 + taxes.
The second model of the 4820TG is preferred more when users want to play the most recent games with detailed specifications and with more ease. It is loaded with a Core i5 430M CPU with 2.26 GHz, which is expandable to 2.53 GHz with the help of Intel's Turbo Boost technology. It is packed with 4GB RAM and a 500 GB hard drive.
The most important feature is ATI Radeon HD 5650 graphics chip. Therefore one can say, it is a better choice as compared to the first model. The price tagged with it is Rs 48,900 + taxes.
Acer has topped all these models with netbook having an 8 hour battery backup. "PowerSmart" tool has enabled Acer to provide 8 hours battery backup which is much better than Windows 7? s default power-saving schemes.
Acer claims that when they have used Timeline X 4820T base model with this tool, it has been used continuously for 5 hours on balanced mode, with 80 percent brightness and Wi-fi internet.
Another model launched by Acer is an Aspire 5745PG. It is equipped with 5.6 inch screen, core i5 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GT330M graphics.
