The recent fete of making a battery achieved by the Israeli researchers employ the similar technique that led to the powering an LCD clock with a potato.
This method involves potato to be boiled so that it increases its potency 10-fold, before zinc and copper electrodes are inserted to create the battery.
The researchers stated that the batteries generated out of this method lasted anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on usage and other environmental circumstances.
The best thing of this technological advancement makes use of the home based technique that any common man can do.
To make things easier one can now stop worrying about electricity cuts, but should double check on having potatoes piled up for back-up.
