New Study Reveals That Exercise Helps In Controlling AsthmaNew study reveals that regular exercise helps in curing asthma. Researchers have found an indication that asthmatics that are physically active have better control over the disease, as compared to their counterparts, who lead a sedentary life.

Previous studies revealed that exercise can set off the symptoms for asthma in some people.

The new study was undertaken by researchers from Canada, who studied the lifestyle of 36 adults suffering from asthma. Almost all these people were taking medicines to control the disease. 18 participants were asked to do regular exercise under the supervision of experts. Their regimen included aerobic exercise for three weeks such as walking, jogging or pedaling and strengthening exercises once in a week.

After these three months were over, the participants were asked to exercise on their own without any supervision. The remaining participants maintained their daily routine without any changes as researchers studied them as a control.

The researchers concluded from the study that half an hour of aerobic exercise for three days a week helped in improving asthma to a considerable extent. However, the researchers maintained that for some people exercise can trigger the symptoms of asthma. Therefore, exercise should be done after seeking advice from the doctors.
