Blackberry App World 2.0 Gives Payment Flexibility to Consumers

BlackberryIn an effort to pull in more developers, Research in Motion is making its new Blackberry smartphones, more functional. Apple World 2 made an announcement regarding this on Wednesday.

The new smartphones are all set to provide its consumers a new experience and are also focusing on developing new ways for carrier billing.

Up till now, the users only had the option of using Paypal account in order to pay for Blackberry applications. But now, the users have the option of making payment through credit cards or they can go in for carrier billing. Every phone will be equipped with carrier billing facility by the year 2011.

Now, it will be simple for the users to switch between different applications and it will also become easier to handle the application portfolios. The new options provided by the Company are expected to be a hit with the users.

A source from RIM revealed that the developers at Wireless Enterprise Symposium and BlackBerry's DevCon are more enthusiastic about the new ways of payment introduced by the Company. The reason behind it is that it gives flexibility to consumers and consequently there will be more purchases of the different applications.

The Company has 20 million active users. The number of applications of the Company are more than 6500 and the number of downloads every day are around one million.
