The tissues of the pancrea is where the origin of pancreatic cancer lies. this type of cancer is relatively rare but yet can be deadly. Of the people who get pancreatic cancer only five percent survive this deadly disease for a period of over five years. This disease gives out no early stage symptoms, but in a few cases indigestion is noted hence causing the patient to believe it to be nothing until it has reached an uncurable stage. Finally data was accumulated from the food frequency questionnaire which has been validated. While new study shows that intake of carbohydrate can increase the risk of catching this disease. There has been no establishment on the relation between diets and risk in pancreatic cancer, but when there was more inspection on the intake of fruits they did notice a lower risk of pancreatic cancer, while compared to the intake of honey, jam, suga etc. have shown higher risk to catch the disease. hence showing that carbohydrates processed as sugars have higher risk to catch the disease. Although there has been much research into this there have been no confirmed establishments that food consumption is related to pancreatic cancer.
These studies were mostly conducted to show that foods containing sugar can actually cause the disease although not established there are possibilities that diet might play a role in the risk factor of pancreatic cancer.
