Prolonged Treatment for Raju, As Administered Drug Has Side EffectsReports claim that according to the doctors, who are treating Satyam scam accused, B Ramalinga Raju at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, the fraudster needs prolonged treatment.

According to them, Raju needs the continuous medical attention as there were side-effects of the drug, which was being administered to him. The drug is a part of the medications for the treatment of hepatitis-c.

It is believed that the report of the doctors was submitted to the special CBI court, which is dealing with the case.

The proceedings of the court have been postponed till June 16.

It was highlighted in the report that as a part of the 24- week treatment of Hep-C, Ramalinga Raju needs to take four injections per week.

However, the 20th injection of the treatment was given to Raju on June 8. Also, as per the report the Satyam scam brain is a scheduled to undergo a second phase of treatment, which involves another 24 injections. This would be done once in a week, in case the results of the first phase are satisfactory.

Dr. Ajit Kumar, the gastroenterologist treating Raju said, “If the virus remains positive, the treatment has to be stopped as chances of a cure will be negligible and it will be labeled as non-responsive. If negative, another course of
24 injections are to be administered”.
