Researchers from UCLA are of the opinion that the more friends a student has in school, the better grade that student gets.
They have been able to find in an adolescent's friendship group, that those who had higher proportion of friends that attended the same school could receive higher or better grades in class.
First study author, Melissa R. Witkow said that researchers think that the friends, who sweat the same homework and quizzes and share the similar teachers, might be the missing element when it comes to cheering academic success.
However, tutors and after school activities still tend to play a big role in getting good grades, since researchers think that friendship that is built in school might help academic achievement because of all the ways they help engage teenagers in the school experience.
